Congratulations to Hana Elhassan, New Horizon Class of 2008, on starting medical school at the Weill Cornell Medical College as a member of the Class of 2023! Hana is currently considering specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Hana volunteers with with Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights, helping asylum seekers get medical documents to corroborate their legal cases.

Hana graduated from Northwood High School in 2014, and UCLA in 2018 majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. She took a gap year after graduation and did vaccine development research at Harbor-UCLA Division of Infectious Diseases.
