Thank you to United States Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad for nominating New Horizon School, Irvine a recipient of the 2017 ESPN Sports Humanitarian Award for Girl Power: Muslim Women in Sports, and to ESPN for the $2,500 grant that will support the Developmental Sports League (DSL) program here at New Horizon. New Horizon is proud to offer girls developmental sports programming, empowering girls to compete in sports such as volleyball, basketball, soccer and flag football!

We are deeply humbled and grateful to Ibtihaj Muhammad for the nomination and for putting our name forward for this grant award! Thank you to ESPN for your generous grant and for inspiring the next generation of American Muslim women olympians!

New Horizon has broken ground on the Upper School Campus scheduled to open in Fall 2018. Construction is underway on the 4-acre site and on the 60,000-square foot building which will include a full field, gymnasium, and theater, in addition to classrooms and lab spaces. The new campus will enable New Horizon to provide programming for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and young adults.
