New Horizon School, Irvine prides itself on its extra curricular athletics program and is open to both boys and girls in fourth through eighth grades. We regard this program as vital part of a student’s educational experience. Athletics play an important role in child development as they encourage students to:
- Develop lessons in sportsmanship and teamwork
- Demonstrate dedication
- Collaborate and compete with others
- Build individual athletic skills
New Horizon School, Irvine athletics program competes in the Developmental Sports League (DSL) for Grades 4-5 and the Tri-Way League for Grades 6-8. The DSL League consists of 10 other independent or private schools throughout Orange County, and the Tri-Way League consists of 12 other private schools throughout Orange County. Currently, the boys teams include flag football, basketball, and co-ed soccer while the girls compete in volleyball, basketball, and co-ed soccer.
